The Lindsey Wilson College Singers traveled to the Pacific Northwest, Washington, and Oregon, over spring break this year.

According to Dr. Gerald Chafin, associate professor of music and director of choral programs at LWC, the Singers performed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Mt. St. Helens, and Ft. Clatsop National Historic Park.

Each year the Singers go on an annual tour. Through the years, the Singers have visited over 40 states and seven countries.

Chafin said the Singers embark on this annual tour, in order "to stay true to their mission." He added that a part of the Singers' mission is to “provide unparalleled touring experiences for our students.”

Singers member Makayla Wright said that the tour, in a basic sense, is “an immersive cultural, social, religious experience.” She also said that the group is a family, and “tour is a chance to truly fall in love with your Singers Family.”

Wright said performing at a Church on Joint Base Lewis-McChord was her favorite part of the recent trip.
