New Restaurants Open in Columbia

Students looking for new dining experiences have two new choices.

GiGi’s Ice Cream and Build Your Own (BYO) Express Cuisine are new restaurants found in the Walmart area on Burkesville Road.

Gigi’s Ice Cream is a family owned homemade ice cream business. Offering over 30 flavors and a variety of Mexican snacks, GiGi’s is a delicious new addition to the area. Some of the standout menu items include horchata flavored ice cream, churros, and Mexican street corn. 

BYO Express Cuisine brings a build-your-own twist to dining, similar to Chipotle or Qdoba. Customers can choose from a range of toppings and proteins to create their own burrito, bowl, or nachos. With options like poke bowls, protein bowls, and gyros, there’s something for everyone.
